Sunday lunch

Andy picked me up at mums and we headed to The Hungry Monk at Langbank for lunch. I ordered the soup and sandwich deal - £20 covered our bill so very reasonably priced and an interesting menu selection.

I had chicken and sweetcorn soup followed by chicken in a spicy sauce sandwich. Andy had the soup too, followed by a prawn sanwich and we had soft drinks.

We made a last minute booking and they were happy to accomodate us.

Chicken sandwich:

Spicy Chicken Sandwich
Ingredients:
Warburtons White Rolls
4 chicken fillets
1 tsp / 6ml flaked chilli
Juice of one lemon
1 yellow pepper, seeded and sliced
6 cherry tomatoes
4 slices mozzarella cheese
Olive oil
Slice the chicken into strips about 2cm wide and place in a bowl with lemon juice, olive oil and chilli flakes.Marinate for at least one hour before barbecuing.While the chicken is cooking, grill the pepper and tomatoes until soft.
When everything is ready, place in four Warburton White Rolls and top the chicken with a slice of mozzarella. Let it melt before eating
